Mr Ravindra Kishore Sinha is an Indian politician and fondly known as R K in the security fraternity. Mr. Sinha is a first generation entrepreneur who successfully started Security & Intelligence Services (India) Limited in the eastern parts of India in 1974 with a team of two people from a small rented office. His dedication and leadership made history and today SIS Group is recognised as one of the leaders in manpower security business in Asia Pacific with over 36,000 permanent employees, 3000 corporate customers and a turnover in excess of USD 350 Mn. It was Mr. R K Sinha’s inclination to help the retired ex servicemen after the Indo – Pak war that motivated him to create a security services company. SIS Group grew under his passion and vision for the business. Today, Mr. Sinha is widely recognised and known as a pioneer and industry leader in securities management. He represents the private security industry before government bodies for legislation and regulatory matters regularly. Mr.Sinha has also served as an Advisor to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India (1999 – 2004).To start with his studies, Mr. R K is a graduate of Political Science and Law. He kick started his career as a journalist with specializations in crime and political field. He has received high commendations for his excellent work as a war

correspondent during the Indo-Pak war 1971. During the same time frame, he also authored “Jan Andolan”. The book is widely identified as the first authentic research book on the student movement in India led by revolutionary leader Jai Prakash Narayan between 1970 – 1975. R K is also a renowned expert and well known speaker on subjects like security, loss prevention, training and disaster management. He is a regular faculty at universities across India and US apart from delivering papers at various industry forums across the world. In recognition of his contribution to the industry, the Security Association of Singapore (SAS) honoured him with a Loss Prevention Promoter Award (2006).

Sinha was elected to the Rajya Sabha to represent Bihar Stateby the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a Member of Parliament in the Indian Upper House in 2014. He has been involved with the BJP since the Jan Sangh days and has held several organisational positions with the party both at state unit and central organisation levels. Most recently, he was involved as the Chairman of the Bihar Election Campaign Committee which delivered a landmark result both in the Vidhan Sabha & Lok Sabha elections in Bihar.

Mr. Sinha was nominated to the Rajya Sabha by Bharatiya Janata Party as Member of Parliament in 2014. Presently he is a member in various committee including :
